At the moment, this dual action balloon is scheduled to perform its first clinical study at the beginning of spring where 30 patients across 3 medical centers will be inserted with this balloon mechanism. Should it be found to be safe, this clinical trial will be expanded to 350 patients across 10 medical centers and eventually will be to the FDA for approval.
Is the balloon safe?
